I Love Lucy More

For my 16th birthday I got a Jack Russell Terrier puppy, and I named her Legend Lucy after Lucille Ball.  I've always been a big Lucy fan. Today would have been Lucy's 100th birthday, and thanks to Towleroad for pointing out that Lucille Ball was ahead of her time on gay rights!  (Isn't it fun to discover something new about someone you thought you knew so well?!)

When asked "How do you feel about gay rights?" by People in February of 1980 she replied with, "It's perfectly all right with me. Some of the most gifted people I've ever met or read about are homosexual. How can you knock it?"

I love Lucy more.
