I love to soak in the bathtub- I'm proud to admit. At least a few times a week I turn on the hot water in our sunken tub, add bath oils and then grab some magazines to read in the tub. It calms me down to spend ten minutes in the bathtub. To keep her out of trouble, she is a pistol, I usually make Dooley stay in the bathroom with me. It's a normal routine for us.
On Sunday, Dooley was walking around the ledge of the bathtub while I was reading in the bathtub. I sensed that she was in trouble, she is our trouble maker, and when I looked up from my magazine I saw her slip and fall into the tub. I've never tested the "bulldogs cannot swim" theory; even though Dooley is my second bulldog. However, it's a fact that Dooley cannot swim. She sank like a lead weight to the bottom of the tub and she was trying to swim. I, of course, immediately scooped her up and placed her on the bath mat. No harm was done, since she was only in the water for two or three seconds, but I don't like it when scary things happen to my little girl.
