After reading her goodbye on Facebook yesterday, I couldn't stop thinking about Elizabeth Edwards and her family today, and then I learned this afternoon that she had died. I feel for her family. I liked her. She seemed like a smart lady, and I appreciated the fact that when her husband was running for the Democratic Presidential nomination she spoke out in favor of gay marriage. She was clearly a lady ahead of her time.
From 2007:
“I don’t know why someone else’s marriage has anything to do with me,” Mrs. Edwards said at a news conference before the parade started. “I’m completely comfortable with gay marriage.”
