I witnessed the below conversation last week between my brother and his 2.5 year-old daughter, Presley.
My brother: "Presley, do you want to watch Dora or football?"
Presley: "Silly Daddy."
My brother: "You didn't answer the question; do you want to watch Dora or football?"
Presley: "Silly Daddy, only boys watch football."
My brother: "Well, your uncle is a boy and he doesn't watch football..."
Presley: (Quiet for a bit.) "I want to watch Dora."
Presley - "Whose birthday is next?"
ReplyDeleteYour brother - (Pausing to think) "Poppy's birthday is next."
Presley - " I want to go to Poppy's birthday tomorrow."
Your brother - "Poppy's birthday is a long way off; it's not tomorrow."
Presley - "I want Poppy to have a bouncy at his birthday."

Poppy (on hearing the above conversation) - "I need a bouncy for my birthday."
